 reports, 1d 2h agoDaily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community. |

I really enjoy the little character you have created and the way they interact with the vector-work and how they are arranged on the page is very skillfull. The hair is also done in a very interesting way -- with overlapping semi-transparent vectors -- a has a real sense of shape and body. Usually hard to pull off without shading of some sort and more complicated forms.
One thing I will point out though, is that the lower purple and upper yellow gradients really wash out the image, making it less crisp, usually that is the strength of vector art. However, I do like the added color. It would probably work better if these colors were added to the background instead of (what it looks like) painted over the top of the image. Maybe if the dark sections weren't so bleached out be the changing colors in would stay more crisp.
